11:11 Update
March 6, 2009
3/3 Again, making coffee, figuring out what time to leave for work – I work at the same time every day. I don’t know why I always have to think about it so hard – I look at the clock and it’s 11:11.
I sigh, start the coffee pot, do the little jig, and yell to the sky, “Happy now??!??” It actually felt kinda good. Invigorating. Yelling and dancing to start the day.
3/4 Rebecca was over for our Wednesday Night Art Party. I went downstairs to change my laundry. When I came back, Rebecca said my phone had done something. It was a text message from Doug that said, “I think I just realized that a big part of my problem comes from the mistaken assumption that doing the right thing will feel good. And it’s only 11:03!”
After reading that, I looked at the clock, and…………. 11:11!!!
I screamed and pointed and did my jig and yelled “Happy Now!!!?!!” Rebecca just sat on the floor and stared at me. But now I’m wondering what the “golden opportunity” was there. Whatever.
